Oil and Cold Wax on 3mm stretched canvas
120 cm x 100 cm
This painting is painted from part photo, part memory, part invention, of the early morning fog over a lake in Lithuania. As in “Peruvian mountains at dawn”, I have tried to evoke evoking faded memories, or dreamscapes, which like the morning fog are often faded and misty. It was originally intended for a specific location, with the intention of using camel yellow and deep turquoise as the main colours in the palette.
