Oil and Cold Wax on 3mm birch ply panel

In this painting I used a complementary purple/green palette and worked with gestural blocks of colour, inspired by Cezanne. This was painted form photos, sketches and memory, and was fairly quick to paint. I wanted to preserve the life in the painting and was careful not to overwork it.
